1940's Jacket w/Belt- Gamebird Donegal Tweed- M-Brown/Cream- VG- STUNNING TWEED

Description

A gorgeous, stunning Irish tweed jacket from the 1940's.  This jacket looks like something you would wear on a perfect Fall day when you were at a country estate!
Label -  Gamebird Donegal  Loomed from Imported Wools by Dickey Mills   A Louis Marcus Exclusive.
Although the jacket was made in the US, the fabric was probably imported from Ireland.
Color - brown & cream w/flecks of yellow, deep orange, brick red & black.  Fully lined in dark brown rayon.
Fabric - 100% wool tweed
Description - medium collar & lapels.  Open front - no buttons.  Padded shoulders.  Long, full sleeves w/turn-back cuffs.  2 slash pockets.  Some vertical darts on front of waist for a shaped look.  Inverted pleat at mid-back, some pleats below back waist seam.  2 belt loops.  Original tweed tie belt.
Size - small/medium.  Actual measurements - bust 36", waist 28", hips/hem 48", length 27", shoulders 15-1/2", sleeve 23"
Condition - very good - I did not see any flaws.
