If you are thinking of refurbishing your old Bridgeport Mill or South Bend Lathe or scrape your CNC VMC; HMC, Lathe, Grinder then you will need to know how to scrape.  Scraping is the technique used to get proper fit and alignment on all machine parts after it has been machined.  1/2 Moon Flaking is on the top or Bridgeport mills to give them a pretty look and on ways to provide oil pockets.
3 - 20 minute part USB STICK explains how to hand scrape a small surface plate to the flatness of .0002" (0.005 mm) and 40 points per 1 square inch (PPI) and 50 % of Percentage of points  (POP).
Produced by Richard King who has been teaching machine way scraping for over 40 years and successfully taught over 30,000 students all over the world.  My trade's name is  "Journeyman Machine Tool Builder / Rebuilder"  I have been rebuilding machine tools for over 50 years.  Specializing in Jig Bores, Surface Grinders, Crank Shaft Grinders, Turcite* and Rulon (green Teflon way tape") Way Lined CNC Machines, Bridgeports, etc.
Part 1:  I explain how to hand scrape  to .0002" flatness and 20 PPI and then show how to hand 1/2 moon flake (extra deep oil pockets) .
Part 2:  I demonstrate way scraping using the Swiss made BIAX Power Scraper to the same tolerance noted above and he shows how to use the BIAX Power 1/2 moon Flaker.  What blades to choose and how to sharpen the blades.
Part 3:  I teach the student how to hand and power scrape to .0002" (0.005 mm)  flatness and 40 PPI.
This USB STICK highlights the techniques I teach in my 40 hour training classes around the world.  I learned to scrape by my Father (who learned from a German immigrant who came to the USA before WWII. In the last few years I have been teaching small shop owners and hobbyists in 5 -  12 hour day classes.   I have taught hundreds or 40 and 80 hour classes at 8 Divisions of GM, Cummins Engine, John Deere, Timken Bearing, NSK USA, hundreds of students at dozens of new machine builders in Taiwan including: Kent Grinder Company; Chevalier Machine; Paragon Grinder; YCM Machinery; Hartford Machine; etc.  I  have also taught at Spinner CNC machinery in Istanbul Turkey.  Taught in German, Scandinavia, UK, Austria, Canada, etc.
Pictures are of student scraping Rulon* Teflon* wear strip material and cast iron.  On stick I am scraping cast iron bars.  It shows you how to scrape flatness on a plate or the same technique you will use on a machine.  It does not show be scraping a machine or rebuilding, just a small surface plate.  You can use the 1/2 moon flaking to add oil pockets to improve the lubrication on machines that still cut straight, but has a jerking or stick-slip when the machine is operating.
To clarify it, the information was shot at the DAPRA Corporation in Bloomfield CT who cooperated with me in making it.  It does show their products, but you can make your own hand-scrapers or use other brands. The techniques are the same.  It's like a pair of sox's, there are many brand name socks but you put them on the same way.  You are only buying the USB Stick pictured.  Not the tools or catalogs in pictures. The information on the stick only shows Hand and Power Scraping used when you rebuild your machines or scrape you machinery ways, cast iron straight edges and surface plates. Not machine rebuilding
I taught classes in Norway and Sweden last August 2014, April 2017, the fall of 2017 in Germany and the USA in the spring of 2018; in several cities around the USA to individual students how to scrape and do some basic machine building. I will be selling the class slots here on Ebay, so keep looking at my other  Ebay ads.  I also teach inside factories world wide.  I have taught 3 classes during the pandemic in 2021 safely here in the USA.
Pictures are of classes where I am teaching scraping.  The USB Stick teaches you to scrape a small surface plate and after you learn to scrape a flat surface you can hand and power scrape projects like the pictures show my students are doing.  The Stick does not teach you to do these types of projects, it only shows hand and power scraping and hand and power 1/2 moon oil flaking.

For all USA domestic purchase is mailed flat rate priority USPS  .
For foreign buyers I am sorry I will only ship it via USPS  First Class or Ebay Mail or  Flat Rate Envelope International  so I can track it.  I can also ship it first class mail to some countries, but that takes weeks compared to a week.    The eBay flat rate priority mailing envelope is EP145 12.5" x 9.5" x approximately 1" thick .  They weight appox. 12 ounces.   Had to put 13" x 10" in postage calculator on Ebay.
Example is I just shipped one to Russia .75, One to the UK  .25, one to the Netherlands .25.... First Class is usually around .00
I will do my best to ship it in 3 to 5  days as I am a 1 person company and when I am traveling for work or on a 2 week vacation I can't ship it.  If this happens I will email you.   If this is an issue I will refund your payment.
Write me if you have any questions.
I also am advertising on Ebay a 5 class you can attend here in Minnesota inside my shop. You will learn everything on te USB stick plus many other ways to rebuild your machines.
