    Description

    LIONEL FREIGHT TRAIN SET NO. 1425B FROM 1949, 1656 SWITCHER & 3 FREIGHT CARS, .
    LOT DESCRIPTION:
    As stated in the title this is  LIONEL FREIGHT TRAIN  SET NO. 1425B FROM 1949. Included in the set is everything you see in the pictures which includes  the following:  1656 0-4-0 die cast switcher steam locomotive with the 6403B bell ringing tender, 2456 Lehigh Valley Hopper, 6465 Sunoco tank car and a 6257 Caboose.    The loco has the operating front headlight, and operating front coupler and the tender has the bell ringing feature and backup light.   The cars all  have the all metal  trucks with operating couplers.    The set does not come with track or transformer.
    DESCRIPTION OF CONDITION:
    The set is in great shape.   The only issue with the entire set is that the two classification lights on the front of the loco have been repaired.  Other than that the  loco casting is perfect, no breaks, cracks or chips.. No missing parts, great color, numbers  look fine . The tender and freight cars look just as nice, they have no rust or dents, no breaks, cracks or chips on the plastic bodies, lettering all crisp and clear, colors nice and bright, trucks and automatic couplers in great shape.   Again, this is a great looking set that IMHO I would rate as in C-7 excellent condition but look at all the pictures and you be the judge for the pictures are an important part of the description and say more than my words ever can.
    WORKING CONDITION:
    I have tested the set and the locomotive runs and reverses just fine, e-unit cycles just fine, and the bell ringer and backup light and couplers all work , no operational issues here at all.
