    Description

    This is a gold eagle show plate from "The SS United States Liner". It measures...9" across, and is in good condition.
    My grandparents bought a set of 12 plates on a cruies in the 50s.
    This china piece was custom manufactured for the United States Line by the "Mayer China Company" of
    Beaver Falls, PA,
    which is stamped on the back along with "FURNISHED BY MADDOCK & MILLER". The gold leaf design is in GOOD condition.
    THERE ARE THREE .25" SCRATCHED ABOUT 7 O'CLOCK NEAR THE EDGE.
