SS UNITED STATES LINES Insignia Stateroom Carafe / Mid-Century / No Dents

This is a beautiful, mid-century chrome, pre 1956 style stateroom carafe from "The S.S. United States Liner". The condition of this high quality carafe is top shelf, and appears to have been seldom used. The condition of the chrome shines like a newly minted silver dollar. This was the only style carafe used on the "Big U" from 1952 through 1956. After that year, the "The American Thermos Bottle Company" switched over to the more modern style carafe with the lucite handle. As always, buyers satisfaction guaranteed by me. This carafe was engineered for hot and cold beverages, having a double-wall, vacuum sealed glass liner inside. This is a great piece of Americana to use at the breakfast table for keeping coffee steaming hot and juices icee cold. The SSUS eagle logo is crisp, front and center. The chrome body, plastic & rubber stopper, chrome handle, and glass liner are intact and in top condition. Once again, this is the earlier style carafe used onboard from 1952 - 1956. There are NO dents or dings. Unlike the nice condition of this carafe, most SSUS stateroom carafes were heavily used and in very poor condition by the time the "SS United States Liner" was taken out of service in 1969.
