This is a heavy, silver cake stand with the SSUS signature 'Manhattan' pattern, from "The S.S. United States Liner". This silver cake stand has
the signature "Manhattan" pattern around the upper outer edge as well as the base, and was originally manufactured for the SSUS by "The Gorham Silver Company". It is marked...'United States Lines' on
the bottom, with a crisp insignia front & center. The condition is near perfect; appears to have been seldom used. This piece measures...9 1/4" across the top. This item was purchased at the 1984 SSUS at auction in Norfolk, Virginia.
