SS UNITED STATES LINES Silver Ice-Pail w/ Handle / Top Condition

This is RARE silver ice-pail from "The SS United States Liner". The overall condition is fantastic. This is the nicest SSUS ice-pail I've owned over the past 35 years. There were only a few of these on the ship used only for room service in the first-class suites. There is not a dent or a ding on it. This piece was made expressly for "The Big U" by "The International Silver Company" for "United States Lines"; which is stamped on the bottom. The signature "Manhattan" pattern appears in three areas encircling the base, top rim, and two places on the heavy silver handle. The SSUS eagle logo is very crisp, front & center. This beautiful ice-pail measures...6" high & 6" across the top. This piece was purchased at the 1984 SSUS at auction in Norfolk, Virginia.
